Safe. Caring. Welcome to therapy that feels like home.

In-person in Katy, TX; virtual sessions anywhere in Texas

“Calming therapy space used for anxiety and stress counseling sessions in Texas.”

“From the very first session, I felt heard, supported, and understood.

– Privately Disclosed

Maybe you’ve hit that point where you honestly don’t know if anything can help.

You’ve tried breathing exercises, distraction tricks, pep talks, maybe even other therapists. But nothing has really made a dent.

Talking about it feels pointless because the problem is still there when you leave the room.

A part of you really wants support, but another part whispers, “What’s the point? Maybe I’m just broken.”

Now imagine therapy actually clicks this time.

Not because you magically became “stronger,” but because you finally found a place where you feel understood, supported, and not judged for being human.

You start noticing small shifts first: a calmer morning, a conversation that doesn’t turn into an argument, a moment where your brain doesn’t go straight to the worst-case scenario.

Your confidence grows as things that once felt overwhelming start to feel doable again.

“Comfortable environment designed for supportive mental health therapy.”

What makes Focus Family Counseling different

We’re fully invested in your progress—whether that means talking through the hard stuff, learning practical tools, or taking things step by manageable step.

We explain things in real language, not therapy jargon, so you always understand why we’re doing what we’re doing.

We’ve lived through my own battles with anxiety and panic, so when we say, “We’ve got you,” we mean it.

Our Specialties

  • Anxiety & Panic Disorders

Anxiety and panic can make everyday life feel like an emergency. Together, we’ll figure out what’s fueling the fear, build practical tools for your body and brain, and help you get back to living your life instead of avoiding it.

  • OCD

OCD can convince you that you have to follow the rituals or something terrible will happen. We’ll gently untangle those fears, learn skills to reduce and break the rituals, and help you feel more in control of your life again.

  • Couples Counseling

Somewhere along the way, the two of you drifted apart—more arguments, less affection, and a canyon of hurt between you. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman methods, we’ll help you understand what’s really happening.

What healing looks like:

→ Having a panic attack start and knowing exactly what to do next instead of feeling like you’re going to die.

→ Going through your day without rituals or intrusive thoughts dictating every move.

→ Being able to go to work, school, church, or the grocery store without planning your entire day around anxiety.

→ Feeling heard and understood by your partner instead of shut down, blamed, or ignored.

→ Arguing less and repairing faster—more “we’re in this together” and less “me versus you.”

→ Walking into therapy feeling nervous and walking out feeling calmer, clearer, and less alone.

Meet the Team

I’m Elizabeth Forman, LPC, and I founded Focus Family Counseling to be the kind of safe, caring place I needed when I was struggling with my own anxiety and panic.

I’m a go-getter and a learner at heart, but I’m also calm, down-to-earth, and not afraid to make a corny joke if it helps you breathe a little easier. Since 2018, I’ve helped adults and couples work through their struggles with a blend of empathy, real-talk, and proven therapeutic tools.

Around here, you don’t have to have it all together—I just ask that you show up, and we’ll take it from there together.
